Kenneth Wapnick Reviews
Kenneth Wapnick taught and wrote about "A Course in Miracles" for more than 35 decades. He was widely considered the world's leading teacher of the program, which he had said is the most significant spiritual document for our age. He had been an associate of Dr. Helen Schucman, scribe of the Course, and also Dr. William Thetford, buddy, colleague, and collaborator from the scribing. He worked with Helen for over a year preparing the Course for publication. Drawing upon his intimate relationship with her spanned the last eight years of her life, Kenneth wrote Helen's biography, "Absence from Felicity: The Story of Helen Schucman and Her Scribing of A Course in Miracles." Of this relationship that he writes in his preface, "Helen and I shared a deep love for one another, and for Jesus in whose love we understood we had been joined, and on behalf of Course we had come together."
Kenneth wrote over 30 books and generated over 175 audio and video records of his classes and lectures, some functions written with his wife, Gloria. He held a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Adelphi University in New York, and throughout his years as a therapist integrated the Course's principles together with his practice of alcoholism. The Course's psychotherapeutic framework had become the subject of his demonstrations at conventions of psychotherapists and of articles in specialist journals.
In 1983, Kenneth and Gloria established the Foundation for "A Course in Miracles," located in Temecula, CA. The Foundation's main aim is to aid students of the Course via classes, discussion groups, and written, sound, video, and electronic publications. In response to countless requests, both Kenneth and Gloria presented with the Course's message and teachings to audiences around the world. Different radio and television stations, including PBS, in addition to several internet websites have broadcast interviews of these.
