I finished my debut book when I could finally quit marking essays and escaped the classroom and taught English for many years.

These days I write, walk and bend somewhat in yoga. I reside in the East Devon countryside, and have a husband and two cats. I am a passionate supporter of wildlife, and am vice-chair of trustees at a local animal refuge - after all, animals don't have any voice but ours to talk for them.

Together with the publication of the next publication from the Dan Hellier Crime series, I suppose I'm planning a long time of experiences for the group in the seemingly peaceful town of Exeter, England. As I reside in a small village, in which the customary crime rate is zero , it was with excellent pleasure that I place the books in and around Exeter, a historical Roman city which has seen its fair share of mayhem and murder within the centuries. Death and the Good Son requires the action from the city and towards the estuary. Book 3 will expand even further across the Jurassic coastline...
