Ayelet Kalter was formerly the head of a highly recognized weight loss clinic that has transformed into a major activist against the pursuit of being thin, the illusion industry of weight and dieting discrimination. She's a specialist clinical dietitian for treating obesity and eating behaviours and will be the CEO of the ‘Eating Dialog Center’. The center is a top institute in the subject of obesity and eating behaviors in Israel, utilizing both academic and societal procedures called "health at every size" (HAES).
Ayelet is RD and also has a MSc. At Bio-chemistry and Nutrition in the Hebrew University at Jerusalem, in cooperation with the School of Social Work of this Tel Aviv University. She's studied family treatment and psychotherapy at the Faculty of Medicine of the Tel Aviv University, group guidance in the ‘Telem’ Institute, failed studies in the Mind and Body Health Center and is currently on her way to earn a PhD at the Philosophy Faculty of the Tel Aviv University. Kalter has further instructed himself under the guidance of Prof. Joh Kabat-Zinn (Mindfulness), Prof. Steven Hayes (ACT – approval dedication therapy), Dr. Jean Kristeller and many others. She also speaks around in conferences domestically and overseas, writes for the local media and attends radio and TV shows as a guest specialist. Additionally, she has served as Chairwoman and spokesperson for the Clinical Dietitians Foundation at Israel (ATID). Ultimately, Kalter serves as part of the teaching personnel for the M.A application of nutrition in the Agriculture Faculty in Rehovot.
As part of her quest for professional and social change, Kalter opened an advanced training program in cooperation with all the Ariel University at 2007 – The Eating Dialog. The program’s aim was to alter the therapeutic and social perspective among caretakers treating obesity within Israel.
