Bernd R. Fischer is a Managing Director of IDS GmbH - Investigation and Reporting Services (a subsidiary of Allianz SE), among the biggest worldwide suppliers of operational expense reporting and controlling services for both institutional investors and asset managers. By 2000 to 2009, he was Global Head of Risk Controlling and Compliance from the central business section Asset Management of Commerzbank AG and was also responsible for the operational Risk and Performance Controlling division of cominvest GmbH, where his job included - among others - the design and the execution of a functioning attribution tool. Before that , he worked from the Asset Management division of Dresdner Bank in the fields of Risk Movements and Portfolio Analysis. He is a consultant to the CFA Institute at CIPM curriculum's Creation and also a member of their Advisory Board of the Journal of Performance Measurement. That he was a member of this Global Investment Council at the CFA Institute. Dr. Fischer finished his degrees in Physics and Mathematics at the University of Cologne and has been awarded his doctorate at the Florida Atlantic University (USA) in 1995.
