Brad was born in rural New England and grew up reading Louis L'Amour, Luke Short, A.B Guthrie, Jr., and even Edgar Rice Burroughs. He knew at 14 he refused to give up the target when the odds seemed against it, also wished to compose for a living. Thanks to Amazon, his tales are readily available. He's a member of the Western Writers of America.

Brad fell in love with the Old West at a Really young age. It expanded to western books, and started with movies and old TV show such as BONANZA and also GUNSMOKE. This led to his study of background. The leaders, the Indians, the cattlemen. His interest in history isn't so much about leaders and wars, but the individuals who dwelt on the property. And that's exactly what he writes about. The people. He does not write about the west as far as he writes about what it might have felt like to be there.
