Linda Johansen Reviews

After Linda was seven years older, her mother sat her down at a treadle sewing machine and then taught her how to sew. From the time she was at junior high schoolthat she had been earning all her own clothing. She likes to stretch her imagination with each advanced cloth technique she can find, from dyeing, painting, and stamping, to making bowls and boxes. As of this writing, she's generated over 200 bowls! Linda teaches workshops on beginning, traditional, and contemporary quiltmaking; colour and design; design and stamping. Of course, her very popular classes on creating fabric bowls and cloth boxes are always stuffed. Under the business name Johansen Dyeworks, Linda hand-dyes fabric, specializing in color gradations and variegated, one-of-a-kind bits. This fabric, combined with commissioned artwork quilts and fabric boxes and bowls, are sold through many stores across the Northwest. Although her two sons have grown up and left the nest, Linda still has the business of 2 border collie mix dogs. Her and her husband live in Corvallis, Oregon.
