C. L. Heckman, a small-town writer from Pennsylvania, grew up with a love of words. In age eight, she composed her first song lyrics, and set them. At the age of twenty five, she started to write poetry, and entered her writings in several competitions across the U.S.

Drifting in writing, she spent nearly twenty five years showing off horses, and contains several Regional Championship titles for her name. But unable to leave the fantasy of writing behind, she chose to compose any chance she got in the hopes of one day accomplishing her dream.

Every time a high school history teacher told her to be a writer, she dismissed him, imagining that it was a far-fetched aim. However, almost a decade later, she finally took his guidance and has self-published her very first novel, Charlie's Pond.

Heckman, a stay-at-home mom to her beautiful daughter, is currently working on her second book, as well as a few short stories. She says that when she's old and grey, she'll tell her grandchildren about her biggest accomplishments, knowing now, that her novels will be among these.
