Novelist, C. Wayne Dawson, writes for The Williamson County Sun and has written for History Magazine, Concentrate On Georgetown, and SAFVIC Law Enforcement Newsletter.
Back in 2012, he based Central Texas Authors, a collaborative literary group.
He was also an Adjunct Professor of History for several years now in Mt. San Antonio College where he created the Chautauqua program. There, he also enlisted scholars, government officials and activists to discuss and debate social policy prior to the student body and also the press.
Back in 2009, the students of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society honored him with the Glaux Mentor Teacher Award for attracting the Chautauqua application to Mt. SAC.
He currently lives in Georgetown, TX with his wife and two puppies.
