Camille Blachowicz is Distinguished Research Professor and Professor Emeritus at National College of Education of National Louis University. She can be co-director The Reading Leadership Institute and was co-principal investigator of the Multifaceted Comprehensive Vocabulary Instruction Project that is federally financed. In her long career as an educator, Dr. Blachowicz has been a school teacher, staff leader and reading expert as well as a university teacher and staff developer. Her work is well well known for research base , actual classroom examples and its practical ideas and she's a nationally understand professional developer.
Dr. Blachowicz's study has been supported by grants from the Spencer Foundation, the Fulbright Council, the International Reading Association and the National Center for Educational Research. Her articles have been published in journals which range from Educational Leadership, Reading Assignment. She is also co-author of books listed and also this chapter on vocabulary research.
