Cari Hunter resides from the Northwest of England along with her wife, two cats, and a pond full of frogs. She functions full-time as a paramedic and dreams up stories in her spare time.

Cari enjoys lengthy, wind-swept, helpless walks inside her cherished Peak District and forces herself to go running regularly. In the summer that she can usually be found sitting in the garden with her feet upward, scribbling in her writing pad. She loves hiking in the Swiss Alps and mucking around online. Although she doesn't like to boast, she'll admit that she's an extremely nice Bakewell Tart.

Her first publication, Snowbound, obtained an Alice B. Lavender Certificate for outstanding début. Desolation Point, was nominated for a Goldie award along with a runner-up from the 2013 Rainbow awards, along with its sequel, Tumbledown, has been a runner-up at the 2014 Rainbow Awards.

Cari has recently been working on a brand new crime series based in the Peak District. The first publication - No Good Reason - is due for launch in June, 2015, and its sequel, '' Cold to the Touch, is scheduled to be released in December, 2015.
