Hi! I am Carly.

I've been writing forever, or at least since the second grade when I wrote my own first book and published it by stripping cardboard in wrap paper and writing my name to the front in Magic Marker.

I like to believe things have changed since then! I'm a twenty-something alum of the University of Wisconsin and Northwestern University.

All my characters have some element of me somewhere in them. I'm a first Jersey woman who invested a lot of my time climbing up down the shore including Lexie at 'Shipwrecked Summer.'

I fell in love with football in third grade and have not looked back since. While I definitely can't play with it like Whitney from 'Cinderella in Cleats', I often dreamed about taking the field.

Like most women, I have experienced my fair share of heartbreak (can anyone think Kate at 'Written in the Stars'?) And I am a Phoenix Coyotes season ticket holder, a la Natalie from 'Cinderella in Skates.'

When I'm not writing, I am working in puppy rescue, exploring the desert, hanging with my two pups and also DIYing!
