After a semester studying in Europe, it became evident to Carla Snyder that a huge part of the world didn't eat to live, however, lived to consume. Having a BA in Journalism in hand, she started a 30-year culinary journey as a traveller, cooking school teacher, artisan baker, food writer, corporate culinary occasion planner, cookbook co-author and co-owner of Motor Counter Points cooking school. Carla's enthusiasm for all cuisines has helped tens of thousands to acquire delicious food around the dinner table with more simplicity, fun and style. Together with "pen-pal" Meredith Deeds, Carla is the writer of 5 cookbooks including The Big Book of Appetizers, a nominee for the 2007 James Beard Awards and 300 Sensational Soups, chosen by Good Morning America among the best cookbooks of 2008.

Carla's most up-to-date release is titled One Pan 2 Plates: Over 70 weeknight meals for two. "It started out as a job for individuals who like to cook but hate to wash up and morphed into a book of whole meals for two cooked in one skillet. It is the only way I make dinner today."
