Internationally recognized speaker and writer, Carole Engle Avriett, spent 14 years as the Homes Editor for Southern Living Magazine, generating hundreds of articles about interior and architectural design, co-authoring several novels, notably in the Home with Southern living. She served as Editor in Chief of an award-winning lifestyle magazine for central Florida and spearheaded a magazine to Disney's internationally famous city, Celebration. Along with these achievements, Carole has written Bible curriculum materials including books utilized as denomination-wide conference studies.
Currently she awakens her skills fulltime exploring and writing Bible study novels and biographies with strong spiritual components. In her own words she explains her fascination with military history:
"My family has strong ties with the military. Besides my father who was career Navy and my step-dad who functioned from the beginning of WWII in Africa and moved up the boot of Italy together with Gen. Mark Clark, I had an employee who was a primary Line Chief for Gen. Claire Lee Chennault with the Flying Tigers in China. These tales produced a fascination and deep respect for what they'd done in service for our nation. One of my undergraduate levels was history and I specialized in history"
A master educator, she draws from a vast assortment of experiences such as surviving cancerand caring for aging parents, and driving every roller coaster in central Florida with her seven grandchildren. Carole and her husband frequently serve as summer missionaries in Brazil.
