Catherine also volunteers as the Communication and Media Chair for Ruby's Rainbow, a nonprofit company that provides educational scholarships to mature students with Down syndrome. This cause is particularly dear and near to Catherine's heart, because her own daughter, Pearl, has been "rockin' an excess chromosome." Pearl was the key inspiration behind the title character of Cassidy at the Daddy of Cassidy!
