Chef Tummy studied Thai and Asian food as a full-time resident of Thailand by 2005 to 2014. Chef Tummy chose a 6,002 mile motorcycle trip to taste the four primary regional styles around Thailand. He studied with the experts -- that the Thai Aunties and Uncles who create the finest in Thai food in their houses and family restaurants. The recipes are used by permission in his books.

Chef Tummy made, opened, owned and worked at the Chef Tummy Thai Cooking School on Koh Phangan, Thailand from 2008 to 2013 and taught Thai cooking to pupils from 30 Nations. He's the only Westerner to ever receive a permit to teach Thai cooking.

Chef Tummy's writing about Thailand and Thai meals has been printed in The Planet is a Kitchen anthology (2005) and in S.E.A. Backpacker Magazine (2008).

Chef Tummy can often be seen drifting through Thai markets searching for some thing to eat or playing guitar and singing at any location that has cold beer.
