For me, art is about self-expression and colour. It's personal. That's why I draw lots of coloring pages by hand, using a pencil and paper.

Additionally, I believe that art should be within the range of everyone. That is why a lot of my coloring books come with bold lines and spaces that are easy-to-color.

I climbed up in the 1960s. In a lot of ways, I'm still a hippie. You'll see that influence. It is why my books aren't filled with clipart, plus they aren't cookie-cutter copies of others' designs.

I had been the first to regularly print coloring publications in formats for left-handed men and women. My "bold and simple" coloring books have been the first intended for adults who have visual and physical challenges.
