The serious bio:
Rory Miller is a seventeen-year veteran of a metropolitan correctional system. He spent seventeen Decades, such as ten years as a sergeant, using all the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office at Portland Oregon. His assignments included Maximum Security Booking, Disciplinary and Administrative Segregation, and Mental Health Units. He was also a CERT (Corrections Emergency Response Team) member for over twenty five years and Team Leader for six.

His training has included more than eight hundred hours of tactical training; witness protection and close-quarters handgun training together with the Native US Marshals; Incident Control System; Instructor Development Courses; AELE Discipline and Internal Investigations; Hostage Negotiations and Hostage Survival; Integrated Use of Force and Confrontational Simulation Instructor; Mental Health; Defensive Tactics, including the GRAPLE teachers program; Diversity; and Supervision.

Rory has created and taught classes such as Confrontational Simulations; Uncontrolled Environments; Crisis Communications with the Mentally Ill; CERT Operations and Planning; Defensive Tactics; and Use of Force to Multnomah County and other Regional agencies.

Back in 2008 Rory Miller left his bureau to spend over a year in Iraq together with all the Department of Justice ICITAP program as a civilian adviser to the Iraqi Corrections System.

He has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a blackbelt in jujutsu and college varsities at judo and fencing. He enjoys long walks on the beach.

Linda Lael Miller

In January of 2006, NEW YORK TIMES bestselling author Linda Lael Miller abandoned the Arizona horse house she's called home for the last five decades and listened to your phone of her center. Packing up her work-in-progress to HQN Books; her claws, Sadie and Bernice, and also her four brothers, the author of over 70 novels bid farewell to her home and went back to the area of her birth.
The girl of a town marshal, Linda grew up in Northport, WA, a neighborhood of 500 on the Columbia River, 120 kilometers north of Spokane.
