Mary Tanana

At a very young age, Mary Tanana was tinkering with all sorts of crafts. She'd needlepoint, embroidery, counted cross-stitch, quilling, crochet, and beginning at age 6, all self-taught. Her parents were wonderful, they gave into her each craft! As she pursued a career in the arts, coming from a group of engineers, now she is so grateful for their support.
In faculty Mary analyzed Fashion Illustration at Syracuse University, and along the way found Surface Pattern Design, and completely fell in love with this. She landed a job after graduation at a company which gold and silver jewellery shortly as a jewelry designer. She had been so eager to discover a design job that focused on producing patterns which were pierced/etched in a variety of metals. Mary was trained on the task to style stone, diamond, and decorative jewellery, which’s what she’s been doing for the majority of her profession until lately. She has designed for John Hardy and Vera Wang, Her revolutionary style has won numerous fine jewelry design awards such as the prestigious Platinum Guild and Women’s & antiques Association “DIVA” celebrity. A range of her exclusive designs became national best vendors at leading retailers. She seized the chance to live in Hong Kong where she ran a huge design department, commuting to China each week. This is a enormous turning point in her career, as it opened her eyes to the world marketplace and helped establish her global style.
Feeling very worried in her career, Mary knew that she needed a change. She took several classes, both online and locally, to teach herself using the digital world of surface pattern design. She totally fell back in love with routine design, and it has immersed herself, creating distinctive collections which exemplify her true style and passion for both bold patterns and colorful innovation.
