Top Camping Lantern Phone Charger Brands

D.light solar rechargeable LED lanterns give you the security and security of having light if you need it most, whether during a power outage or a weekend camping excursion. Designed as a replacement for the kerosene lantern for rural off-grid families in developing countries, d.light uses the world's finest product design fundamentals, together with cutting-edge solar and LED technology to produce the maximum quality, rugged, dependable and affordable solar lanterns.

D.light is a for-profit social enterprise whose goal is to create new independence for customers with no access to reliable electricity in order that they may enjoy a brighter future. We design, fabricate and distribute solar lighting and electricity products throughout the developing world. We aim to enable the lives of at least 100 million people by 2020.

In 2004, during d.light co-founder Sam Goldman's Peace Corps service in Benin, Africa, his neighbor's kid was badly burnt by an overturned kerosene lamp. This episode, in addition to the knowledge that 2.3 billion people on earth still do not have access to reliable power, motivated Sam to participate in a course named Entrepreneurial Design for Extreme Affordability in the Stanford Design School, where he also met co-founder Ned Tozun. That's where they developed their very first prototype solar lantern along with a rigorous plan to bring secure, bright, and sustainable light to people around the planet.
