Kerry Fisher

Born in Peterborough, UK, Kerry Fisher analyzed Italian and French at Bath University, followed by several years working as a English teacher in Corsica and Spain before compiling the scenic heights of vacation rep along with grape picker at Tuscany. She eventually succumbed to 'getting a suitable job' and returned to England to study Periodical Journalism at City University. Following two years working in Essentials magazine in London, enjoy carried her off to the wilds of the West Pennine moors near Bolton. She now lives in Surrey with her husband (of whisking off to Bolton celebrity) and two teens. She has an extremely naughty lab/schnauzer called Poppy, which contributes to a lot of mortifying minutes of whistling and waving bits of chicken while the dog practises her 'speak to the tail'.
Kerry spent half her life talking about writing a novel, then a few years in Candis magazine reviewing other people's but it was only when she took several online courses with the UCLA that the dream began to morph into fact when her debut, The School Gate Survival Guide, had been picked up by HarperCollins. She is currently writing her fifth novel.
Best advice ever received: 'This really is fiction, we can skip the boring bits.' Lynn Hightower, UCLA Writers' Program. See all Kerry Fisher products
