Emily Winfield Martin creates other things, paintings and paintings. If she was little, she spent every second dressing rabbits in clothes, studying, drawing, and having peculiar daydreams. Emily Arnold McCully

Emily Arnold McCully was born left handed in Galesburg, Illinois. She was a and ball-player who would like to write stories and show them. Her family moved to New York City and then to some suburb. After faculty at Brown University, she gained a Master's degree at Columbia University in art history. Before a radio channel commissioned a set of posters showing children 25, she was employed as a freelance illustrator for magazines, commercials and book publishers. The first arose in subway cars, where it was seen by a children's book editor. It started a career, first as an illustrator, then. McCully won a Caldecott Medal. She has two grown sons, 1 grandson and lives in New York City and Columbia County, N.Y., where she grows vegetables and flowers.
