Eric Evans

Eric Evans is a thought leader in software design and domain modeling. The creator of author of Domain-Driven Design and Domain Language, he recently founded a modeling community where those interested in domain modeling may come together to learn and share practices that were successful. Heor#x2019;s labored on successful Java and Smalltalk jobs in fields such as manufacturing automation, and finance, transport, insurance.

Eric seeking opportunities to assist organizations to acquire more value out of their program development efforts by connecting technical thinking with firm thinking—and creating supple domain models that form the center of software applications. He conducts workshops and trainers teams on domain modeling and design. He aslo, mentors teams process best practices and to mesh design and deliver those techniques to bear on delivering value.

Eric Karjaluoto

Eric Karjaluoto is a founding partner of the service smashLAB that is creative and Creative Director. Since 2000, he has assisted a broad Selection of customers, including CN, The Vancouver Aquarium, The Nature Conservancy, Canadian Heritage, ThoughtFarmer, lululemon athletica, Crescent Spur, WWF Canada, BC Film + Media, Tourism Vancouver, along with the University of Minnesota’s Institute on the Environment with their strategic, design, and communication challenges. This work has been accepted by TIME The Adrian Awards, Communication Arts, The Advertising & Design Club of Canada, The Lotus Awards, Applied Arts, Graphis, Icograda, and many others. In 2007, he spearheaded Design Can Change to unite designers and address climate change. Eric writes about design in and and has spoken at events for AIGA, SEGD, and GDC. He's the author of Speak Human (smashLAB, 2009). His next book, The Design Method (New Riders, 2013), was released in August 2013. Eric lives in Vancouver along with his beautiful wife and two boys that are delightful.
