Jeanne Liedtka is a Professor of Management at the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia.Before the Executive Director of the School’s Batten Institute, a foundation started to create thought leadership in the fields of entrepreneurship and corporate innovation, Jeanne has also served as Chief Learning Officer for the United Technologies Corporation (UTC), headquartered in Hartford, Connecticut, and as the Associate Dean of the MBA Program in Darden. #x & Jeanne2019;s teaching responsibilities focus on invention design thinking, and natural development in the MBA and Executive Education Programs .
Jeanne’s current research interests center on investigating how design thinking may be used to improve our capability to make inclusive strategic discussions about organizational futures. Her novel, The Catalyst: The Way To Lead Extraordinary Growth, co-authored with R. Rosen and R. Wiltbank, has been based on a three year study of working managers who excelled at generating revenue growth in mature organizations. The Catalyst was named one of Business Week’s invention and design novels of 2009. Designing for Development: A layout toolkit for managers, her most recent publication was published in June, 2011.
