David A. Sousa

Dr. David A. Sousa is an global consultant in educational neuroscience and author of seven books which suggest ways that teachers and parents may translate current brain research into plans for enhancing learning. A member of the Cognitive Neuroscience Society, he's conducted workshops in countless school districts in brain research, educational skills, and mathematics education in the Pre-K into 12 and college levels. He's made presentations to over 100,000 teachers at national conventions of educational institutions and to local and regional school districts across the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia. Dr. Sousa includes a bachelor’s degree in chemistry in Massachusetts State College at Bridgewater, a Master of Arts in Teaching degree in science from Harvard University, and a doctorate from Rutgers University. He has taught a district superintendent in New Jersey schools, a manager of instruction, and senior high school mathematics, functioned as a K-12 manager of science.
