Doug Walsh

Doug Walsh is a writer, traveler, also gamer an adventure-filled romance story inspired he spent cycling the world with his wife.

It was not long after I finished my first Stephen King novel, at age fourteen, that I knew I wanted to become a writer. I didn't understand what that entailed back then, but I adored the effect a narrative had on me and that I wished to give that experience to others. A few decades after, armed with a kernel of an idea and my trusty Brother WP-3400, I took a deep breath and typed the words "Chapter One." Two returns afterwards, the blossom cursor sat blinking at me, begging for me to make. Just as it does for this day.

I was able to combine my love of writing with my video game hobby in 2000 as well as within the ensuing thirteen decades, authored over a hundred licensed strategy manuals for BradyGames, an imprint of Penguin. It was a dream job come true. I was a published author, and of course one. It was not the dream.

My wife and I put off in March, 2014 within an around-the-world bicycle excursion. We made our way without planes, the way around from Seattle to Singapore. We traveled by boat and by bicycle for almost two decades before sending our equipment house in December, 2015. Because I knew if it was finished, I'd write a novel one of reasons I was. And that's what I'm working on. The publication I dreamed of my life, although it's not the journey memoir I expected to write.
