It all began with a guy, a girl, and a dog, 1,456 miles of asphalt, also 23 hours tucked at a white Jeep Grand Cherokee in Dallas, TX, to Toronto, ON, Canada. Ami and Jason had met a few short months before on August 31, 2004, at one of the largest trade shows in the country. This was Magic. Las Vegas. Thousands of merchants and 2 entrepreneurs with bags on the brain. They hit it off and hit on the Street. 
 


Constructed between stops for gas, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, and Cherry Coke, Lug was born with a clever name, fresh emblem, and a concept to offer travel accessories to savvy globetrotters. "We believed that the market was filled with black and dull item," says Ami. "And we needed to add some color!" From August 2005, 1 year after initial assembly, Ami and Jason were offering bag pockets and coordinating luggage tags in bright colours--goods for smart travellers with spunk. 
 


By January 2006 they'd expanded to luggage. But not just any bags; super smart totes with unrivaled organizational capabilities. Today, the tiny brand that tackled travel has since developed to include intelligent, stylish solutions for everything from work to perform with active living everyday--presume laptop cases, wallets, beach bags, gym bags, along with clever travel equipment--all in vibrant color. Having a focus on functionality, plus a Fantastic dose of pleasure, the Lug staff takes pride in creating new ideas for people on the move. 
 


Six years after first meeting, Ami and Jason eventually tied the knot, saying their "I dos" at Walt Disney World on May 25, 2010. Just shy of 1 year afterwards, they filled the Dallas office and headed southbound around I-35, for their brand new "ranch" in the Texas Hill Country, just outside of Austin. As the dust was settling on their happy mountain Country lifetime, they welcomed the hottest (and, let's face it, most adorable) Lug member, Baby Olivia, on May 22nd
