Top Ladle Tray Brands

In 1770 Josiah Spode formed the now iconic Spode China Company in Stoke-On-Trent, UK. This thriving area gave birth to many of the most world famous dinnerware brands.   Josiah Spode was a true pioneer.   First by making the blue transferware underglaze process for earthenware.   Bringing vibrant and intricate designs that hadn't been seen before.   In 1812 the Blue Italian design has been created from this procedure and is still made today.   Spode Christmas Tree out of 1938 and also Spode Delamere from 1831 also remain and have motivated new generations of layouts.

In 1797, Josiah is related to creating the formulation that introduced a new very powerful, very translucent dinnerware human body.   Known today as Bone China.   This highly prized dinnerware is still known round the world as the epitome of luxury tableware.

Through the years, dozens of Spode Bone China and Earthenware designs have graced the tables of homes around the world,  whether they be castles or cottages.   Most recently, the Spode designs Blue Italian, Woodland, Stafford White and Stafford Flowers have all been featured on the hit TV drama Dolwnton Abbey.

Now, oened from The Portmeirion Group, the invention of Spode continues.   With designs and technologies perfectly suited to todays advanced consumer and fans of fine dining everywhere.
