I'm a New Zealand-born, Munich-based programmer, trainer, and author who has been programming and utilizing different UNIX systems as 1987, and focusing mostly on Linux as the late 1990s. Since 2004, Have been the maintainer of the Linux man-pages project (http://www.kernel.org/doc/man-pages/), which documents the Steam and GNU C library programming APIs. As part of that work, I'm actively involved with the Linux development community, providing design and testing review of modifications to the Steam kernel-user-space API. I write and deliver training courses on Linux/UNIX program programming and related areas. Those classes draw on several years of instruction and programming experience and a long and intimate relationship with the UNIX and Linux programming APIs to make training courses that are standardised. For more details, see http://man7.org/training/.See all Michael Kerrisk products

Thanks for looking at my novels on Amazon. I have been writing about technical/computer topics as the early 1990s.
Nowadays my interests center on the intersection of people and technology. Good software is not sufficient: you will need to get folks to utilize it, and utilize it efficiently and productively. Wikis are a excellent example, especially in corporate environments.
