Jonathan S. Abramowitz, Ph.D. is Professor and Associate Chair of Psychology, and Director of the Anxiety and Anxiety Disorders Clinic at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is an internationally recognized expert on anxiety disorders, particularly obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Through his teaching, research, and writing, Dr. Abramowitz has made considerable contributions to the area of anxiety disorders and OCD. He's published over 150 research articles, book chapters, and books on these subjects and has won awards for his work from the American Psychological Association, International OCD Foundation, along with the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Abramowitz is Editor-in-Chief of the "Journal of Obsessive-Compulsive and Related Disorders" and also Associate Editor of "Behaviour Research and Treatment." He maintains a busy private practice in Chapel Hill, NC and devotes substantial time to coaching and supervising clinical psychology graduate students.
