Streamlight is a "hands-on" company; we have been one since the company started in 1973. We undergo  firefighters' training. We take classes in non invasive shooting. We are  sailors, hunters, outdoor and sports fans. We make it a point to have out in the field and talk to our clients. We maintain focus groups to hear what they enjoy about our merchandise; but we are more curious about what they don't like, what should be improved, and what exactly lighting issues have yet to be solved. Customer comments helps us constantly improve existing products and create new and improved ones. Considering that the most intense hazardous conditions tend to be in shadowy places, Streamlight created a whole line of safety-rated lighting. For the industrial market, we've developed lighting tools that are very safe to use even around volatile gases and at additional potentially explosive atmospheres.
