Charlie N. Holmberg

Charlie Nicholes Holmberg was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to two parents who sacrificed a great deal to provide their very lazy daughter a good education. Consequently, Charlie learned to hate uniforms, memorized all English prepositions in alphabetical order, and mastered the art of Reed-Kellogg diagramming a sentence. She put rather than entered many writing competitions.
Being a nerd, Charlie started writing fan-fiction for a teenager Between episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation. She became a full-fledged ring geek with mediocre ability in high school, in which she met her husband Jordan Holmberg. He did not actually ask her out, while she tried to win his focus by pitching ramen noodles in his property and baking him cookies.
Charlie began taking writing seriously throughout her undergrad at Brigham Young University, where she majored in English and minored in editing. She finally won a few writing contests. Three months she graduated with her BA and got hitched. Soon later, she was dragged by her darling husband where she was impregnated by him.
In summertime 2013, after collecting many rejection letters and creating a quilt out of them, Charlie sold her ninth novel, The Paper Magician, and its sequel to both 47North with the support of her terrific representative, Marlene Stringer. She will have a dog.
(Did she say her third novel, The Master Magician, totally created the WSJ bestseller list? Because it totally created the WSJ bestseller list.)
Charlie is also a board member for the Deep Magic ezine of science fiction and fantasy. Learn more at deepmagic.co. See all Charlie N. Holmberg products
