Shane Lee Dawson (born Yaw; born July 19, 1988) is an American YouTube character, actor, sketch comedian, singer, songwriter and movie director. Dawson is known for making humor videos featuring several recurring characters (like Shananay, Ned that the Nerd, S. Deezy, Mom, Aunt Hilda, Fruitlupe and recently Amy), celebrity impersonations (like Paris Hilton, Miley Cyrus and Sarah Palin), along with spoofs of popular music movies and tv shows. Most of his important productions were performed with the support of producer Lauren Schnipper.
At December 2015, his YouTube channel, ShaneDawsonTV, is that the 129th most subscribed station, having more than 7 million readers and over 1.1 billion views. Dawson started pursuing a music career, releasing six singles. He has released music video parodies.
His podcast, Shane and Friends, starring him and his friend Jessie Buttafuoco (originally with his dad, Lauren Schnipper), was created in 2013 and is still continuing. At July 10, 2015, 45 episodes are published, with several YouTubers and star guests.
