Elizabeth Meyette

Author, Chairman and blogger in dreams-come-true, Elizabeth Meyette fell in love with books as a kid when her sister examine her Goldilocks and the Three Bears. She retired from teaching to pursue her passion: writing. "Yes I hear voices in my mind and I give them names and call them characters"

Writing the Billy Boyle World War II mystery series (released by the terrific folks at Soho Press) has attracted me a massive quantity of joy. Hear their own stories, opinions, and above all, their responses and I've gotten to meet people in person and internet.

Along with this Billy Boyle show, two stand-alone books have been printed by E-Reads. Ground is a WWII thriller in the tradition of Jack Higgins, also Souvenir is a exploration of identity memory, sorrow and loss during the life span of a veteran of the Second World War.

My idea to get a historical mystery series set inside the Allied High Command during the Second World War started with the first title, Billy Boyle, that Occurs at England and Norway in 1942. First Wave, the next, carries on a few months after during the Allied invasion of French Northwest Africa. The Blood Alone continues the story through the invasion of Sicily. In the next installment, Evil For Evil, '' Billy Boyle voyages into his native Ireland. The fifth book in the series deals with the Poles in exile in England along with Polish Officers' Katyn Massacre by the Soviets, and also the war, notably Polish-Americans influenced. It's titled Rag and Bone (from the Yeats poem).

Number 6, titled A Mortal Terror, is put in southern Italy and within the Anzio Beachhead, in which Billy paths the Red Heart Killer, who's targeting officers of increasingly senior rank. Mortal terror refers to fight the terrible effects of exposure and fatigue in the mountains to the not battle but also the rigors of winter.

Death's Door (#7) requires Billy into busy Rome, to investigate the murder of an American monsignor over the walls of the impartial Vatican City. In the 8th installation, A Blind Goddess, Billy is back in England prior to D-Day and also working to clean a GI of murder

I climbed up being a reader and it turned out to be a very natural step to turn my interest to composing. I have published award-winning and bestselling novels including my most recent release THE NIGHT THE LIGHTS WENT OUT released by Penguin Random House 2017, in April. This is the book I am calling my "Steel Magnolias" meets "The Girl on the Train." Regardless of the Depression era it's a story of three very different women, and the meaning of friendship.

I compose that which others have termed "grit-lit"--southern women's fiction, as well as a contemporary paranormal mystery series (The House on Tradd Street is the 1st book in the series) set in Charleston, South Carolina. All of my novels are set from the US South, and also feature a female protagonist.

I live near Atlanta, Georgia with my husband, two children, and 2 of the most adorable Havanese dogs, Quincy and Sophie. Quincy may be recognized by readers as General Lee from the Tradd Street series.

Happy studying!
